About me..

Hi , I’m Emma and I grew up in Somerset in South West England. Having grown up next to the rolling countryside and the coastal scenery the love of the outdoors grew inspiring me to create within the whispers of life. Throughout my life, I have always been fascinated by colour and the fluidity of movement. My interest was cultivated throughout my teenage years in dance and further developed when I opted to take a Bachelor’s Degree in Sculpture in Brighton.

After completing my degree, I developed my skills as a maker when I became a jewellery designer and then moved into Interior design where my love of colour was cultivated. Within the design-led industry, I was able to continue my appreciation of materials but went back to my Fine Arts roots,  merging and marrying the two creative practices- Design and Art.

I have the opportunity to support budding student artists at my local I-college, for learners unable to access mainstream education. Through my encouragement in one-to-one sessions, I’m able to spur the students on into their own creativity.

A highlight has been when I was selected to showcase my ‘Unbreakable Wholeness’ series in the Peri Centre publication Dec’20. A center committed to helping foster the interconnectedness of nature, people, and cultures based on the works of David Bohm and David Peat.

I now live and work in West Berkshire, surrounded again by beautiful countryside and river sidewalks.
